He was one of the recipients of The BINC Foundation’s 2024 Susan Kamil Scholarship for Emerging Writers and a 2023-2024 Brown-Handler Writing Resident with Friends of the San Francisco Public Library. His writings on the history of AIDS in the Bay Area and other topics have appeared on Brokeass Stuart, thewashingtonpost.com, KQED, Catapult, JSTOR Daily News, Contingent Magazine, Lady Science, The Bold Italic, and Nursing Clio. His poetry has appeared in Discount Guillotine, Poetry Trapper Keeper, and the zine Hold Me Through: Love Poems for Crisis. He has read, spoken, and/or lectured on his research and writings for The Light Jacket Reading Series, Gaulladet University’s Deaf Life Museum, Disney Streaming Services, Credit Karma, Wells Fargo, Pantheon, and other groups and universities.
